Welcome

Dear visitors, dear members,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Switzerland Tanzania Chamber of Commerce (STCC) which provides you the relevant information on the STCC’s organization, its services, and activities, as well as the latest business news about Switzerland and Tanzania.

I have started my mandate under very favorable premises. Tanzania and Switzerland enjoy dynamic relations, engaging actively in a fruitful economic dialogue and exchanges. The launch of the STCC in February 2023 at the Residence of Switzerland in the presence of the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Helene Budliger-Artieda, and the Swiss Ambassador, H.E. Didier Chassot, is an important sign of the growing interest and opportunities between our two countries.

Having grown up in Switzerland where I spent my formative years and developed my career as a lawyer, needless to say Switzerland holds a special place in my heart. Likewise, my native country being Tanzania where my parents are from and where I have the pleasure of now residing, it is therefore a privilege to be the Chairwoman of the Switzerland – Tanzania Chamber of Commerce and continue strengthening the ties between these two countries.

Amne Suedi - Chairperson

The STCC is active, young, ready to listen and ambitious in its founding mission: the development of bilateral trade relations between Switzerland and Tanzania and the detection of business opportunities that will generate promising and innovative synergies, while promoting the strong values that are dear to Switzerland.

My Vision of the STCC

To carry out this mission successfully, let me tell you about my vision of the STCC.

Firstly, the STCC is a platform for dialogue and networking. With our member companies, to respond to their needs. With the Embassy, to make the most of our entire diplomatic network. With the Swiss Business Hub in Pretoria for Southern and Eastern Africa, to benefit from a broad business perspective. With Tanzanian institutions, to support national projects and anticipate any changes in the legislative framework. With all the public and private players, we act through discussion and the sharing of experience.

Secondly, the STCC defends the interests of our formidable business community with Tanzanian institutions and at major business meetings.

As a lawyer, this mission is particularly close to my heart, and the STCC can highlight the quality of cooperation between Switzerland and Tanzania.

Thirdly, the STCC is a high-quality service provider for our members and all our partners, because the STCC is attentive to all its members’ challenges. Collectively, by organising business meetings, conference debates and webinars that address the concerns of its members. On an individual basis, by providing targeted information, accompanying you through a project, giving you the benefit of our address book and advising you professionally and cordially. Our team will be happy to answer any questions or requests you may have and provide you with relevant information at any time.

That is why I warmly invite you to explore our website, follow us on LinkedIn and contact us to join the STCC.

I look forward to continuing the dialogue with you, meeting you at our future events and seeing you as part of the STCC family!
