About us
The initiative to form The Switzerland – Tanzania Chamber of Commerce in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania was taken by HE Didier Chassot, Ambassador of Switzerland to Tanzania and was supported by 7 Founding Members:
Oryx Gas Tanzania Limited, MSC – Mediterranean Shipping Company (Tanzania) Limited, SICPA Tanzania Limited, Forestry Holding AG, Shikana Investment and Advisory Group, and DUKU Telecoms Electronics Company Limited and Mbeya Cement Company Limited (Lafarge Holcim). The Chamber was inaugurated on 27th February 2023 and Ms. Amne Suedi Kagasheki was elected
as the first Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Chamber until 2026. The Chamber strives to promote and maintain extensive contact with organisations in both Switzerland and Tanzania involved in trade or business relations between the two countries.
This is emphasised in the Chamber’s close contact with the Swiss Embassy in Tanzania, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industries in Tanzania, Switzerland Global Entreprise, and official organisations promoting trade and investment in Switzerland and Tanzania.
