On March 25, 2025, STCC had the pleasure of hosting an impactful networking event at @305 Karafuu welcoming a delegation of young professionals from the (Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) on their Trade Mission VUB to Tanzania, representing major Belgian companies such as Pandion, Omnifreight, and Innovad.
Initiated by STCC Vice-Chairman, Mr. Benoit Araman Oryx Energies and the Belgian Ambassador to Tanzania, His Excellency Peter Huyghebaert this gathering-fittingly taking place during Francophonie Week-was a reflection of the enduring cultural and economic ties that continue to strengthen collaboration between our countries.
Congratulations and thank you for their enthusiasm to Fanny Soyeur Academic coordinator of International Business Projects for Master students at Solvay Business School (VUB) and Stan Ackermans, leader of VUB Trade Mission to Tanzania/Msc Business Engineering/ Solvay business school (VUB)!
Key highlights:
• Switzerland and Belgium’s similar economic structures—built on strong SMEs, a well-developed service sector, and a commitment to innovation—made for highly relevant business exchanges.
• Many students thus had the opportunity to meet a Swiss company that could become a potential partner for the Belgian company they represent.
By connecting Swiss business leaders in Tanzania and Belgium’s young emerging talent on Tanzanian soil, we created a unique platform fostering cross-cultural collaboration with valuable discussions on trade, investment, and future partnerships.
